Terms and
Conditions

Please read these terms carefully before booking or using any services provided by Horizon Travel Experiences.

Last Updated. 2026   |   Horizon Travel Agency, LLC   |   horizontravelex.com

This agreement contains the terms and conditions by which Horizon Travel Agency, LLC ("HTA") agrees to provide travel tours and services in consideration for a customer's payment. All products and services are subject to change without notice. By booking your arrangement with us, you are agreeing to be bound by the terms of this agreement and any additional terms and conditions of any supplier that are applicable to your booking. Payment to HTA constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions.

Section 01
Acceptance of Terms

By booking your arrangement with us, you are agreeing to be bound by the terms of this agreement and any additional terms and conditions of any supplier applicable to your booking and travel arrangements. You agree on behalf of yourself and those you represent to comply with all such terms and conditions, including the payment of all amounts when due.

You represent and warrant that you are of sufficient age to use our services and can create binding legal obligations in connection with your use. You are legally authorized to act on behalf of those you represent and accept these terms on their behalf. You are responsible for informing all persons in your group of all applicable terms and conditions.

We may change these terms and conditions from time to time and those changes become effective immediately. Your continued use of our services following notice of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.

Section 02
Scope and Agency

HTA acts as a travel agent only. HTA sells various travel related products on behalf of numerous transport service providers including but not limited to airlines, coach, rail, ground transportation, and hotels. HTA is independent of these service providers and is not liable for their acts or omissions. HTA's only responsibility to you is to make travel bookings on your behalf and negotiate and arrange contracts between the group and the service providers.

All bookings are subject to the terms and conditions and limitation of liability imposed by these travel service providers. Your legal recourse is against the specific service provider, not HTA.

Section 03
Reservations and Payment

After booking, you will receive your final itinerary with an invoice and other important travel information. This invoice is subject to change until you receive confirmation that your travel is booked. Deposits are non-refundable unless stated otherwise in the terms and conditions of the service provider.

Final payment is due as indicated on the invoice. If any payment is not paid by the stipulated date, HTA reserves the right to treat the booking as canceled by you, in which case the terms and conditions of cancellation become applicable.

  • HTA accepts payment by cashier's check, money orders, and wire transfer.
  • Credit and debit card payments are subject to a processing fee of 3.5% per transaction.
  • No changes to a reservation are allowed within 90 days of departure.
  • After final payment is made, all revisions are subject to a $75.00 per booking HTA fee, plus any supplier fees.
  • Due to seller of travel restrictions, HTA cannot accept reservations from residents of California, Florida, Washington, Iowa, or Hawaii.
Section 04
Cancellation Policy

All requests for cancellation or rescheduling must be submitted in writing directly to HTA. The following cancellation terms apply to all bookings.

Within 24 hours of the initial booking, your reservation may be canceled for a full refund. After 24 hours, the cancellation is subject to the supplier terms and conditions, which may be non-refundable. For group bookings curated solely by Horizon Travel Experiences, cancellations after 24 hours are non-refundable and non-transferable. We highly recommend travel protection with CFAR (Cancel For Any Reason) coverage to protect your investment. Please note that some states are not eligible for CFAR coverage.
  • No refund will be made for package features the client opts not to use.
  • No show penalties could be up to 100% of the package or component costs.
  • Flight tickets, hotel reservations, and other items provided for travel generally cannot be refunded if partially used.
  • HTA is not responsible for issuing any refunds for any of its service providers and is not bound by the refund policy of service providers if it differs from HTA's policy.
Section 05
Group Tours and Minimum Participants

All group tours are based on a minimum number of participants. To be considered a group booking with Horizon Travel Experiences, a minimum of 20 people traveling or 10 confirmed rooms booked is required.

HTA makes every effort to ensure that tours meet their minimum requirements. However, if the tour drops below the minimum number of participants, cancellation of the tour may occur at the sole discretion of HTA. In such a case, guests will be advised as soon as possible and alternative tour dates or other travel arrangements may be offered.

Group cancellations after 24 hours of initial booking are non-refundable and non-transferable. We strongly recommend CFAR travel protection coverage for all group bookings.
Section 06
Travel Protection

It is the client's responsibility to protect their purchase. It is highly recommended that you purchase travel protection coverage including Cancel For Any Reason (CFAR) coverage to provide adequate cover for medical expenses, personal accident, loss of luggage, cancellation of trip, and emergency evacuation.

If you choose to travel without adequate coverage, HTA will not be liable for any of your losses howsoever arising, for which a trip protection plan would otherwise have been available. Certain countries require foreign visitors to have valid medical insurance on entry. HTA cannot be held responsible for denied entry if a guest is unable to provide details of insurance to authorities.

Section 07
Travel Documents

You and any minors traveling with you must be in possession of a machine-readable passport valid for 6 months after your trip return date, along with applicable visas. Some countries require that your passport have two to four blank visa and stamp pages.

It is your sole responsibility to secure and pay for all visas, reciprocity fees, affidavits, immunizations, and other documentation required to be permitted entry into each destination. HTA bears no responsibility for advising or obtaining required travel documentation and will not be responsible for any delays, damages, or losses related to improper documentation or government decisions about entry.

  • For passport requirements, visit travel.state.gov
  • For health and inoculation requirements, visit cdc.gov
  • Children traveling with one parent or non-guardian may require additional documentation. Requirements vary by country.
Section 08
Force Majeure

HTA cannot accept liability, provide any refund, or pay any compensation where the performance of our contractual obligations is prevented or affected by circumstances amounting to force majeure. This includes acts of God, war, insurrection, riots, strikes, civil action, decisions by governments or governing authority, technical or maintenance problems with transport, terrorist activity, industrial action, natural or nuclear activity, epidemic, pandemic, illness, quarantine, adverse weather conditions, earthquake, volcanic eruption, tsunami, fire, and all similar events outside our control.

There will be no refunds due to fear of travel from actual or threatened terrorist, health, political, pandemic, or other similar events.

Section 09
COVID-19 Acknowledgment

By making a booking, you acknowledge the highly contagious nature of COVID-19 and voluntarily assume the risk that you or members of your party may be exposed to or infected by COVID-19 during travel. You understand that your trip may be postponed, canceled, or altered due to COVID-19 related restrictions, for which there may be no refund.

HTA has strongly encouraged the purchase of travel protection coverage including Cancel For Any Reason coverage. Should you fail to purchase travel protection coverage, HTA shall not be liable for any losses arising from COVID-19 related disruptions.

Section 10
Limitation of Liability

HTA, its owners, officers, members, employees, agents, and representatives are not responsible for any injury, loss, or damage to your person or property, death, delay, or inconvenience in connection with the provision of any goods or services caused by or resulting from acts of God, acts of government, force majeure, acts of war or civil unrest, criminal or terrorist activities, overbooking or downgrading of accommodations, mechanical or other failure of transportation, illness, epidemics, or any other cause beyond the reasonable control of HTA.

In no event will the collective liability of Horizon Travel Agency, LLC exceed the fees paid by the client to HTA for the applicable service out of which such liability arose.

Section 11
Airline Schedule Changes and Baggage

Occasionally airlines change flight schedules and may cancel flights entirely. These changes are beyond HTA's control. HTA will do its best to assist you with finding the best possible alternative options but is not responsible for any additional costs or fees imposed by airlines.

It is the responsibility of the passenger to check for last minute airline flight time changes within 24 hours of departure. HTA is not responsible for changes that may occur within 24 hours of original flight departure time. Due to continual changes in airline baggage policies, please inquire directly with your airline for up to date fees and information. HTA is not responsible for additional fees incurred for baggage or seating.

Section 12
Governing Law

This agreement and the rights of the parties shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Alabama. Any claims shall be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction located in Alabama. You agree that you will only bring claims against HTA in your individual capacity and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class action or representative proceeding.

No claims will be considered and you will not sue HTA unless you have first provided a typewritten notice of claim to HTA within 30 days after the tour or cancellation of the tour.
